About Me
I have a heart for the marginalized, a social work background, and call myself a professional volunteer. Besides my various volunteer roles in my local church, I currently volunteer for the Citizen Review Board, through the Oregon Judicial System, and review foster care cases in Deschutes County. When living in Portland Oregon, I volunteered as a crime victim advocate for the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office and worked with numerous NGOs in the fight against human sex trafficking.
Why This Blog?
Starting a blog is a stretch for me. Although I enjoy writing, I feel exposed and vulnerable in sharing my private thoughts with others. Also, my lack of computer skills has made the creation of this site a slow and tedious process. So please be patient with me!
I’m developing this blog out of obedience to Jesus. He has laid it on my heart for some time now. My goal is to share how the Lord speaks to me in the small details of life. Hopefully my insights from God’s Word will encourage others to dig deeper into a relationship with Jesus.
So come journey with me. We’ll look at everyday struggles, joys and triumphs and learn to see how the hand of God weaves throughout. Let the adventure begin!
